Egypt have re-called their African Nations Cup-winning strike partnership of Mohamed Zidan and Emad Moteab for their must-win World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Cairo on November 14.
Coach Hassan Shehata had left Borussia Dortmund's Zidan out of the squad for the last two qualifiers for disciplinary reasons. Moteab is back after a six-month spell out with injury in a 25-man squad released by the Egypt Football Association.
Moteab and Zidan, together with former Wigan Athletic forward Amr Zaki, served as a potent strike force in early 2008 when Egypt won the Nations Cup in Ghana.
But the continental champions require a two-goal victory over rivals Algeria in their last Group Three qualifier to force a play-off.
