Lloyd agrees to terms with Sky Blue FC

SOMERSET, N.J. -- U.S. national team midfielder Carli Lloyd has agreed to contract terms with Women's Professional Soccer champion Sky Blue FC.

The contract with 2008 U.S. Soccer Female Athlete of the Year Carli Lloyd is pending league approval, the New Jersey-based team said.

A former Rutgers star, Lloyd became a free agent after playing her first WPS season with the Chicago Red Stars.

Lloyd tallied the game-winning goal in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing against Brazil.
