Russia: Rubin Kazan extend lead after Khimki win
Reigning champions Rubin Kazan extended their lead in the Russian Premier Liga to four points with a routine 2-1 win over bottom club Khimki.
Goals either side of the interval from Gokdeniz Karadeniz and Alan Kasaev proved sufficient for Rubin to wrap up their 15th league win of the season. Substitute Aleksandr Antipenko's strike two minutes from time was mere consolation for struggling Khimki.
CSKA Moscow missed the chance to step up the pressure on city rivals Spartak as they were held to a 1-1 draw away to lowly Spartak Nalchik. It looked good for CSKA when Milos Krasic put them ahead inside two minutes, but Alexander Amisulashvili equalised before the interval.
Aleksandar Radosavljevic scored the only goal as Tomsk won 1-0 at Dinamo Moscow to move within three points of their rivals in mid-table, while Saturn Moscow comfortably saw off Amkar Perm 2-0. Benoit Angbwa and Dmitri Loskov scored the second-half goals for coach Andrey Gordeev's side.
