Galliani: David Beckham's Milan return "very probable"

It is "very probable" that David Beckham will be returning to AC Milan at the start of the January transfer window, according to Rossoneri vice-president Adriano Galliani.

Beckham joined the Italian side on a three-month loan last January and saw the deal extended until the end of the 2008-09 season after impressing the Milan hierarchy with his quality and professionalism.

He has since returned to LA Galaxy but has been warned by Fabio Capello that not playing European football in the build-up to the World Cup finals would seriously damage his case for inclusion in the Italian's final squad of 23 players.

Some reports claimed at the weekend that hopes of a return to Milan had receded somewhat due to wage demands but Galliani still appears determined to bring Beckham back to the San Siro.

"It's very probable that Beckham will come to Milan on loan until June 30, but I don't give anything as fact until there's a signature,'' Galliani said.

LA Galaxy have already confirmed they will allow Beckham to leave the club on loan in January but a permanent exit will not be considered for the former England captain.
