Inter Milan president Massimo Moratti insists he is yet to approach Lazio to sign Goran Pandev, despite admitting he is a huge fan of the striker.
The out-of-favour Lazio star has not featured for the Biancoceleste since telling the club that he wished to leave in August. The Macedonian international's current contract expires in the summer so there is intense speculation that Lazio will cash in on the player in January.
"Pandev is a name that I read a lot in the press," Moratti told the club's official website. "But up to now, I have had no dialogue regarding Pandev with club executives. Pandev is a great player and next year I would gladly go and see him play."
Reports had suggested that the 26-year-old could join Inter on a loan deal before January with a view to a permanent move; but it now seems that Moratti is happy to wait until the new year.
If so, Pandev, who scored 15 goals in 37 appearances for Lazio last season, will have to wait it out in Rome.
