Aston Villa youngster Isaiah Osbourne has been arrested during training on suspicion of conspiracy to rob, it emerged on Tuesday afternoon.
Osbourne, 21, was arrested at Villa's Bodymoor Heath facility on Friday and has been bailed pending further enquiries, according to West Midlands Police.
A spokesman for the force said: "On October 2, a 21-year-old man was arrested at the Villa training ground on suspicion of conspiracy to rob and he has been bailed until further enquiries."
The club have said they are aware of the incident but are unwilling to make any further comment.
Osbourne is a graduate of the Aston Villa academy and has made 19 Premier League appearances, of which seven came from the start.
He is yet to feature this season under Martin O'Neill though and spent the end of last season on loan at Championship club Nottingham Forest.
