Rams midfielder Savage hit by FA agent charge
Derby County midfielder Robbie Savage and his representative, George Urquhart, have been charged by The Football Association in relation to an alleged breach of agent regulations.
The incident relates to the renegotiation of the former Wales international's contract with Blackburn Rovers in January 2007 as it is alleged that "there was no written representation contract in place" between the two men.
Urquhart has also been charged for another incident in which it is alleged he acted for Derby County when the club signed Savage in January 2008, having already acted for Savage in his contract negotiations with Blackburn a year earlier.
"We are aware of the charge and Robbie Savage will be dealing with it on an individual basis through the correct and proper channels," said a Derby spokesman. "The club will offer him any support that he needs, should he ask for it."
The FA has also charged agent Des Wroe in relation to the first professional contract signed by promising Everton star Jack Rodwell.
An FA statement read: "It is alleged that Wroe acted on behalf of Everton FC in the negotiation of that contract, when he had previously entered into a representation contract with Jack Rodwell in 2007."
