Tigers striker Folan departs for the Championship
Despite starting four of Hull City's five Premier League games so far this season, Tigers striker Caleb Folan has been allowed to join Middlesbrough on a three-month loan deal.
The 26-year-old, signed from Wigan for a fee of £1 million in the summer of 2007, has agreed to join Gareth Southgate's side and could feature in Saturday's Championship clash with West Bromwich Albion.
The striker will now spend 93 days at The Riverside, where he joins Sean St Ledger following the defender's own loan move from Preston North End.
Middlesbrough are currently in second place in the Championship, just one point behind West Brom ahead of their meeting on Teesside on Saturday.
