Premier Showdown - Sept 12-13

Dale Johnson clocked up his hat-trick before the international break meaning he is already in pole position this season. Can anyone stop him retaining his crown?

Looking to finally get the Rest of the World off the mark for the new season is Ryan Chiera.

Ryan tells us: "I am a long time fan/player. I grew up playing for a Southern Californian Celtic Soccer Club based out of Upland, CA. I am 26 and currently serving in US Navy doing computer stuff.

"I have evolved into a huge Arsenal and am hoping to see Eduardo and Arshavin play to their true potential this season. Once they get Rosicky and Nasri back, they will be unstoppable (considering everyone else stays healthy). Bendtner has developed into a better player and can easily be used in the midfield leaving room for Arshavin/RVP/Eduardo to score the majority of the goals. The only thing that bothers is their depth when it comes to defenders."

Let's see how those predictions pan out!

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
