Manchester United have agreed a new contract with South Korea star Park Ji-Sung, the player's agent confirmed on Monday.
Park, 28, was due to be out of contract at the end of the current season but will now be tied to the English champions until June 2012, having been rewarded with an improved deal at Old Trafford.
Negotiations had been ongoing over the summer and South Korean media sources have reported that Park will be earning £3.6m per year, a pay rise of some £800,000.
"Park and Manchester United have reached an agreement on a three-year deal. The contract will be effective through June 2012," the player's agent, Kim Jung-Soo, told Yonhap news agency.
Park joined United from PSV Eindhoven in 2005 and has impressed Sir Alex Ferguson with his tireless running and clever movement.
The midfielder has made 86 Premier League appearances for the club, scoring nine goals.
