Rangers manager Walter Smith is keen to get Kirk Broadfoot and Maurice Edu back playing as soon as possible despite the Ibrox side's 100% start to the season.
Smith watched his team cruise to a 4-1 win over Hamilton thanks to two goals each for striker Kris Boyd and full-back Steven Whittaker.
Mark McLaughlin pulled a late goal back for Accies but Rangers are ahead of Celtic on goal difference at the top of the Scottish Premier League.
But, with Smith unlikely to be spending money before the transfer window closes, he is hopeful of more rapid recoveries like the one which saw Pedro Mendes back in midfield ahead of schedule.
"We thought he was going to be out for a few months but the specialists have helped him a great deal and we are pleased to get him back,'' said Smith.
"With the squad we've got, it's important that we keep them fit and it's important that we get Kirk Broadfoot and Maurice Edu back as quickly as we can. That will be an important factor for us.''
