Bilic names Croatia squad to tackle England

Slaven Bilic has included four Premier League players in his Croatia squad to face England in a World Cup qualifier at Wembley on September 9.

Tottenham pair Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka, Portsmouth midfielder Niko Kranjcar and Arsenal striker Eduardo da Silva are all included as Croatia attempt the difficult task of reining in Fabio Capello's England at the top of Group 6.

Croatia are currently seven points behind their rivals but could reduce that gap to four ahead of the Wembley tie given that they host Belarus in Zagreb on September 5.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Stipe Pletikosa (Spartak Moscow), Vedran Runje (RC Lens), Danijel Subasic (Hajduk Split).

Defenders: Vedran Corluka (Tottenham Hotspur), Josip Simunic (Hoffenheim), Ivica Krizanac (Zenit St. Petersburg), Dino Drpic (Karlsruher), Hrvoje Vejic (Hajduk Split), Danijel Pranjic (Bayern Munich), Hrvoje Cale (Trabzonspor).

Midfield: Niko Kranjcar (Portsmouth), Ivan Juric (Genoa), Ognjen Vukojevic (Dynamo Kiev), Nikola Pokrivac (Salzburg), Jerko Leko (Monaco), Luka Modric (Tottenham Hotspur), Darijo Srna (Shakhtar Donetsk), Ivan Rakitic (Schalke), Anas Sharbini (Hajduk Split).

Forwards: Ivica Olic (Bayern Munich), Eduardo da Silva (Arsenal), Mladen Petric (Hamburg SV), Mario Mandzukic (Dinamo Zagreb), Ivan Klasnic (Nantes).
