Philippe Mexes' agent has dismissed speculation the Roma defender is set for a move to Chelsea.
Reports suggest the Premier League side are preparing a bid of 14m euros plus Ricardo Carvalho for Mexes.
However, Olivier Joanneaux believes the France international, who has often said he wants to see out his career with Roma, will not leave the Italian capital.
''Chelsea? Personally at least, I do not think there is any truth to it,'' he told tuttomercatoweb. ''Is there any news in general regarding my client? Not as far as I know, or rather Roma want to keep the player who, in turn, is fully focused on the new season that is about to start.''
Mexes, who joined Roma from Auxerre in 2004, is a key player at the Stadio Olimpico.
Blues boss and former AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti is thought to be a long-term admirer of the 27-year-old.
