Fulham striker Kamara dismisses Bordeaux link

Diomansy Kamara insists he will remain with Fulham despite being linked with a move to French champions Bordeaux.

The Senegal striker has been talked about as a potential replacement for Marouane Chamakh, should the wantaway Morocco international quit Les Girondins for the Premier League.

But Kamara revealed he has not been contacted by Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc and is pledging his immediate future to Fulham.

"My representatives have been on the phone with (Bordeaux president Jean-Louis) Triaud. People have also spoken about a possible exchange with Marouane Chamakh,'' Kamara is quoted as saying in today's edition of French daily newspaper L'Equipe.

"But Laurent Blanc hasn't called me. And when a coach doesn't phone you, that signifies that a club doesn't really want you.

"It would have been an honour for me to be coached by Laurent Blanc. But my priority now is Fulham.

"We must stop talking about me at Bordeaux.''

The 28-year-old Paris-born striker was injured for most of last season, restricting him to just 12 appearances.
