Colorado's Clark ruled out for the rest of the season
The Colorado Rapids announced that midfielder Colin Clark has been diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Clark suffered the injury in training on Tuesday and will be forced to miss the remainder of the 2009 season, with surgery scheduled to take place in the next week.
Clark started in 16 games this season for Colorado and had three goals and a new single season career-high five assists. He was also a member of the U.S. national team's CONCACAF Gold Cup roster, earning his first-ever cap against Honduras on July 11, 2009.
