Premier Showdown

There was some much needed pride restored for the Rest of the World in the last round when Austin Oviosa stormed to victory. In fact, he would have set a new record score for the season but for Portsmouth getting a late third against Sunderland.

So with the season drawing to a close we thought it only right to accept another application from Umesh Patel.

Now, Umesh must be Showdown's biggest fan as he enters every week without fail and has taken on Dale and Tommy a few times. So what better way to say farewell to the current season by inviting him back?

He tells ESPN Soccernet: "Umesh again! (Manchester United Fan). It seems I'm a good omen for Tommy as he gets inspired by the competition when I take part.

"Anyway at least I managed to draw against Tommy last time but this time I'm determined to win."

Let's go out in style!

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
