Juve veteran Zanetti returns to Fiorentina

Fiorentina have concluded a deal to sign experienced midfielder Cristiano Zanetti from Juventus for a reported €2m.

Zanetti has signed a two-year contract with an option for a further year at the club where he began his professional career in 1993.

After leaving the Viola in 1996, Zanetti went on to enjoy successful spells at Inter Milan and Roma before signing for Juve in 2006.

The 32-year-old, a two-time Scudetto winner, has won 17 caps for Italy and represented the Azzurri at the 2002 World Cup and Euro 2004.

A statement on Fiorentina's website confirming the deal added that Zanetti will be officially presented to the media on Thursday afternoon.
