South Africa striker Bernard Parker will need a fitness test before Thursday's Confederations Cup semi-final against holders Brazil after twisting his knee in training.
The 23-year-old Red Star Belgrade forward, who has scored twice in the tournament for the hosts, underwent a scan on Wednesday after being injured on Tuesday.
"The scan didn't reveal anything but he is still feeling some pain. We will do a test in the morning to see whether he is fit to play," team spokesman Matlhomola Morake told Reuters.
South Africa face Brazil at Ellis Park in Johannesburg for the right to meet United States in Sunday's final.
