Ramos unsure of future with Real Madrid

Real Madrid coach Juande Ramos has received several offers of work elsewhere but still does not know whether he will stay on at the Primera Liga club when his contract expires at the end of June.

"I don't know if I am leaving. Until now nobody has told me I am leaving. I am coach of Real Madrid until June 30," Ramos said in an interview with sports daily Marca ahead of the likely appointment of Florentino Perez as president on Monday.

"The feeling is that the new management team are coming, logically, with their people and their team, it's understandable," Ramos added.

"I have already received several offers of work even though I prefer to wait until my contract with Real is up before I choose where I am going to work, if indeed I am going to work."

Villarreal coach Manuel Pellegrini insists he has not spoken with Real amid speculation he is set to take charge at the Bernabeu this coming week.

Pellegrini is now believed to be the number one option for Perez. It has been claimed in the Spanish media that Pellegrini could even be presented as Madrid's new coach on Tuesday, but the Chilean is adamant he has had no contact with the deposed champions.

Speaking following Saturday night's 3-2 season-ending win over Real Mallorca, Pellegrini was quoted as saying by Marca: "I will reiterate again what I've already said. The important thing was the game with Mallorca. You want me to answer something I cannot answer. Nobody from Real Madrid has spoken with me."

Pellegrini, who has a year left on his contract with Villarreal, guided the Yellow Submarine to a fifth-placed finish in La Liga this term and a place in next season's Europa League.

Villarreal president Fernando Roig, meanwhile, has said that any team looking to tempt Pellegrini away will have to stump up the buy-out clause in his contract.

"For foreign teams it is 3million (euros) and for national teams, I think that it is 4million," Roig told Cadena Ser. "You have to respect the clauses. Contracts are there to be completed.

"He (Pellegrini) has told me that no one has talked to him. He told me: 'The fans don't believe me, president', and I answered him 'I believe you'. He assured me that he was happy at Villarreal."
