Groningen and NAC reach Dutch playoffs final

Groningen and NAC Breda reached the final of the Dutch playoffs for a Europa League place with 4-0 victories against Utrecht and Feyenoord respectively on Thursday.

Marcus Berg, who scored a hat-trick on Saturday, put Groningen on track after eight minutes and scored again directly after the interval, while Goran Lovre and Tim Matavz were on target to complete the rout.

Rob Penders netted a rebound after 31 minutes to give NAC the lead and Martijn Reuters curled the ball into the right upper corner eight minutes into the second half.

In the final five minutes Kees Kwakman and Joonas Kolkka both scored for NAC's first win at Feyenoord.

Groningen and NAC now meet in the best-of-three final starting next Thursday in Breda.
