Young trio selected in Bolivia squad

Bolivia coach Erwin Sanchez has called up youngsters Gilbert Alvarez, Leonel Justiniano and Samuel Galindo for the first time ahead of the training camp to prepare the next round of World Cup qualifiers.

Sanchez has selected a 23-man home-based squad to train next week in preparation for the visit of Venezuela to La Paz on June 6th and the trip to face Chile in Santiago four days later.

Midfielder Justiniano and forwards Alvarez and Galindo were part of the under-17 squad that took part in the recent South American championships in Chile.

"I am very happy for being called. I did not expect to be named. Now I am decided to win a spot in the squad to play against Venezuela," said Alvarez to ATB television network.
