Collins denies deal to take charge of Monaco
John Collins has denied agreeing to succeed Ricardo Gomes as coach of former club Monaco.
Collins, who played for the principality for two years between 1996 and 1998, will leave his post as manager of Belgian side Charleroi after Saturday's final game of the season.
Monaco have struggled this season and currently sit 10th in the Ligue 1 table, well adrift of European qualification.
Former Hibernian boss Collins, 41, told L'Equipe he is "not thinking of a move'' to Monaco.
"I am perhaps on a list (to succeed Ricardo) but I haven't had any contact with the club,'' he added.
Collins also played for Hibs, Celtic, Everton and Fulham and won more than 50 caps for Scotland before launching his managerial career at Easter Road in 2006.
