Premier Showdown - Apr 11-12

Dale Johnson took a giant stride towards the 2008-09 title with a rasping victory last weekend. He recorded a new top score for the season with 15 leaving the Rest of the World and Tommy Smyth with no hope.

It means that Dale is nine points clear with only seven rounds left and glory is now in sight.

Looking to cause some problems in this round is Shaan Ramjus.

Shaan tells us: "I live in the small island of Mauritius where people are crazy about English soccer.

"I am a student in final year of secondary schooling.

"My favourite team is Newcastle but things are not too good for us now. Hopefully Shearer can save us!"

Time to play...

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
