Leeds and Blackpool reach agreement on Grayson

The dispute over Simon Grayson's move from Blackpool to Leeds has been resolved, the clubs have announced.

Championship club Blackpool accused United of making an illegal approach for Grayson, who moved to Elland Road to succeed Gary McAllister last December.

Blackpool and Leeds met at a Football League tribunal, which resulted in an amicable outcome, with any financial settlement remaining undisclosed.

In a statement released by both clubs, Leeds chief executive Shaun Harvey said: "We are delighted the matter is now resolved and Simon can continue with the work he has started in seeking to get the club promoted.''

Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston added: "We are pleased to have resolved this matter. We wish Simon and Leeds well for the future.''

The Seasiders are yet to replace Grayson, with caretaker boss Tony Parkes currently in charge at Bloomfield Road.
