Robinho returns to starting line-up

Record signing Robinho returned to the Manchester City starting line-up as Mark Hughes' men looked to take a first leg advantage in their UEFA Cup last 16 tie with Aalborg at Eastlands.

The £32.5million Brazilian missed last week's win over Aston Villa with an ankle injury but was one of two changes to the Blues line-up as first-choice midfield pairing Vincent Kompany and Nigel de Jong were both missing.

With Micah Richards back from a hamstring strain, Pablo Zabaleta was pushed into a central midfield role alongside Stephen Ireland against the Danish outfit, who held Manchester United to a draw at Old Trafford in the Champions League earlier this season.
