Cruz Azul, Puerto Rico through

Cruz Azul booked their place in the CONCACAF Champions League semi-finals after completing a 2-0 aggregate victory over Mexican rivals Pumas.

Leading 1-0 from last week's first leg, the 'Cementeros' sealed their place in the last four thanks to Christian Riveros 85th-minute strike.

"We have beaten difficult opponents in Pumas and now we are looking to qualify for the FIFA Club World Cup, which would be a huge achievement for our club," said Cruz Azul midfielder Cesar Villaluz.

Benjamin Galindo's side will face a semi-final meeting with Puerto Rico Islanders who defeated Marathon of Honduras 1-0 in San Pedro Sula to complete a 3-1 aggregate win.

Marathon controlled the match but were unable to break down their visitors, who were content to defend their narrow advantage and play on the counter-attack.

The Islanders sealed their passage to the last four when Nicholas Addlery broke clear from his own half in the final minute and fired home his side's insurance goal.
