Pereyra's late goal holds Dynamo to a tie

HOUSTON -- Atlante FC's Gabriel Pereyra scored in the 82nd minute for a 1-1 draw with the Houston Dynamo in the first leg of the quarterfinal of the CONCACAF Champions League series Tuesday night.

Dynamo's Bobby Boswell scored in the 34th minute before a crowd of 10,203.

The second leg of the aggregate-goal series is March 3 in Cancun, Mexico.

Boswell put Houston on top off a corner kick from Brad Davis. Boswell, from 8 yards, headed the corner into the right side of the net.

Atlante tied it on a corner kick, as well. Luis Venegas crossed the ball on the left wing and Pereyra got his head on it in a group on the left side of the net to produce the draw.
