Accused King appears before court
Middlesbrough striker Marlon King has appeared in a London court to face allegations he sexually assaulted and punched a 20-year-old woman in a nightclub.
King, on loan at the Riverside from Wigan, was arrested on December 10 after an incident at the Soho Revue Bar in Brewer Street, central London, three days earlier.
District judge Nicholas Evans adjourned the case until April 8 when King, who was released on bail, will appear again at the same court, a court spokesman said.
The footballer was on loan to Hull at the time of the alleged incident. The nightclub has since closed.
