Advocaat rebuffs approach for Holland return
Dick Advocaat has ruled out a return to the Eredivisie, denting ADO Den Haag's hopes of luring the coach away from Zenit St Petersburg.
The 61-year-old began his professional career in The Hague, making 143 competitive appearances for ADO between 1966 and 1973, and has been linked with a return after coach and technical director Andre Wetzel called for the club to appoint a technical manager to ease the burden on his shoulders.
But the former Holland and South Korea boss has dismissed such suggestions.
"I have been everywhere and Holland is no longer part of my plans," Advocaat told AD Sportwereld.
Advocaat is not interested in a technical role such as the one Leo Beenhakker now holds at Feyenoord.
"Leo is the man to do that," he added. "He likes to be at the front in that way. I am not the kind of person for that though.
"I still have the possibility of advising them (ADO) at the end of my coaching career. If they still want to have me of course."
