Al Qadisiya through to final of Kuwait FA Cup

A pair of late goals by Bahraini midfielder Mahmoud Abdulrahman saw holders Al Qadisiya advance to the final of the Kuwait FA Cup with a 3-1 win over Al Shabab in the semi-finals.

Al Shabab took the lead through Abdullah Al Mutawa after 12 minutes but Nawaf Al Mutairi levelled the score for Al Qadisiya on the half-hour mark.

The match remained deadlocked until nine minutes from time when Al Qadisiya were awarded a penalty and Abdulrahman made no mistake from the spot.

He added his second goal of the night five minutes later to seal Al Qadisiya's place in the final against Kazma who defeated Kuwait league champions Al Kuwait in a penalty shootout in the other semi-final.

Kazma had taken the lead with a goal by Fahad Al Fahad five minutes into the second half but Syrian midfielder Jihad Al Hussain made it 1-1 with five minutes remaining to send the game into extra time and, subsequently, penalties.

Kazma eventually prevailed 6-5 in the shootout.
