Queensland Roar youngster Tahj Minniecon has ended speculation over his future by agreeing to join A-League newcomers Gold Coast United next season.
The 19-year-old Minniecon has been highly rated by the Roar and used several times this season by coach Frank Farina, but will take up a three-year deal with Gold Coast from the 2009-10 season.
The Australian under-17 and under-20 representative has scored two goals in 11 A-League games for the Roar this season.
Minniecon joins as the club's marquee under-23 player, exempt from the salary cap.
With former Roar coach Miron Bleiberg already stoking the fires between his new club and old employers, Minniecon's switch is likely to further highlight their rivalry.
Minniecon's switch is just one part of a big day for Gold Coast United, with Socceroo Michael Thwaite also agreeing to join the newcomers.
Thwaite, currently at Melbourne on loan from Norwegian club SK Brann, has impressed in his displays for the Victory this season.
Gold Coast have now confirmed 18 players for the inaugural roster including Wellington Phoenix striker Shane Smeltz and Newcastle Jets defender Adam Griffiths.
