Nottingham Forest have confirmed the appointment of Billy Davies as their new manager.
The 44-year-old succeeds Colin Calderwood at the City Ground and has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the Reds.
David Kelly joins Davies as assistant manager and the pair will officially begin their duties on Monday with caretaker boss John Pemberton taking charge of the FA Cup third round clash with Manchester City on Saturday.
Chief executive Mark Arthur told the club's official website: ''Billy's record in the Championship is superb and we're hoping he can build on his already impressive achievements with us.''
Davies' first game in charge will be against fellow strugglers Charlton at The Valley a week on Saturday.
