Premier Showdown - Dec 26

The ding-dong battle at the top continued last weekend as the Rest of the World took three points back again. Who will take the first dose of festive cheer?

We're celebrating Christmas by welcoming back one of our former contestants - Umesh Patel!

Umesh says: "It's me again - Umesh from Atlanta, US. I'm a big Manchester United fan and the last time I was selected I did as I predicted "Beat Dale" but who knew Tommy was going to have a inspired weekend?

"I guess I was just unlucky or Tommy was lucky. Anyway let's see if I fare any better this time round!"

Game on!

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
