Ligue 1: Easy win for Monaco, Marseille held
Monaco pulled further away from the Ligue 1 relegation zone when three goals in five minutes earned a 3-0 win over Le Mans on Sunday.
Monaco are now 12th with 19 points from 15 matches, nine points above third-bottom Sochaux in 18th.
Argentine Alejandro Alonso found the back of the net three minutes into the second half after being set up by fellow midfielder Chu Young Park.
Le Mans defender Paulo Andre deflected a Camel Meriem free kick into his own goal in the 50th minute, with striker Alexandre Licata making it 3-0 two minutes later when he connected with a Meriem cross inside the area.
Elsewhere, a Youssouf Hadji goal 18 minutes from time earned Nancy a 1-0 win at troubled Nantes, who are 17th on 12 points.
Nancy are 15th on 19 points.
In the later game Olympique Marseille were held to a 2-2 draw with Lille at the Stade Velodrome.
