Andres D'Alessandro scored twice as the midfielder inspired Internacional to a 4-0 victory over Guadalajara that booked the Brazilian side`s place in the final of the Copa Sudamericana.
Nilmar also netted a brace to seal a 6-0 aggregate triumph over the Mexicans following a 2-0 win at the Jalisco stadium last week.
Internacional went in front after 18 minutes when Guadalajara defender Ocampo fouled D'Alessandro in the box and the Argentinian play-maker converted the subsequent penalty.
The former Zaragoza, Portsmouth and San Lorenzo midfielder then doubled the advantage on the half-hour mark with a free-kick from the edge of the area before visiting defender Alberto Medina was dismissed three minutes before half-time.
Nilmar made it 3-0 just before the interval and then rounded off the scoring in the 71st minute with a classy finish with just keeper Victor Hernandez to beat.
"I think we showed that we are a very strong team and deserve to be in the finals," said midfielder Marcao.
"We were the better side and now have to work hard to prepare for the final.
"We also want to dedicate this triumph to our former president Arthur Dellagrave. Today, the whole of Inter honoured his memory."
Dellagrave was president of the club from 1980 to 1983 and died last Tuesday of a heart attack.
Internacional will now face the winners of the all-Argentinian clash between Argentinos Juniors and Estudiantes in the final.
Estudiantes salvaged a 1-1 draw at Argentinos Juniors in last week`s first-leg.
