Czech Republic's Cech to miss San Marino qualifier
Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech will miss next week's World Cup Group Three qualifier against San Marino due to a muscle injury, a team spokesman said on Friday.
''Cech has excused himself due to a muscle injury on his right leg, which is probably related to recent problems which did not allow him to play against Slovenia,'' national team spokesman Lukas Tucek said.
The Chelsea keeper will be replaced in the squad for Wednesday's match in Serravalle by Jaroslav Drobny. The Czechs are fifth in the Group Three with just four points from three matches.
