Premier Showdown - Nov 8/9

Yes, you've guessed it ... another victory for Dale Johnson last weekend means it's starting to get a bit like last season now. And there we were thinking this was going to be a contest. Is anyone going to buck the trend?

Representing the Rest of the World this weekend is Andy Dodge who lives in Maple Ridge, Canada.

Andy tells Soccernet: 'I am English and moved to Canada in 1989. I have been a Liverpool fan for 34 years and got to watch them play a few times while in England.

'I am a soccer coach in Canada working in youth soccer, I have a B licence one step below National Certification in Canada for coaching. Soccer is the greatest sport to play watch and coach.'

Can Andy turn that expertise into points? Let's find out.

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
