Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has given coach Davide Ballardini a vote of confidence ahead of Saturday´s game against Serie A leaders Internazionale.
Ballardini has found himself under increasing pressure following a run of just one win in five matches for the Sicilian outfit.
"I believe Ballardini will remain with us for a long time," Zamparini said. "But he must analyse the mistakes the team has made of late."
The outspoken Zamparini was furious after Sunday´s 1-0 defeat at Torino which left Palermo 10th in the standings.
He blamed that loss on a lack of determination from his players and expects them to improve greatly, starting this weekend.
"My players went onto the pitch without guts and the team are the image of a coach," said Zamparini.
"I told my players that against Torino they played with no guts.
"In order to make them suffer a little bit, I said to them I may well not pay some of their wages."
