Castillo restored to Mexico squad by Sven

MEXICO CITY, November 8 (National Team) - Mexico national coach Sven Goran Eriksson has named Manchester City forward Nery Castillo as the only overseas-based player in his 22-man squad to face Ecuador in an international friendly next week.

It marks the first time since the Swede took charge of the Mexico team that Castillo, who last played for his country at the 2007 Copa America, has received a call-up.

"I am happy to be again in the national squad and I am also anxious to see my team mates again and work for the challenge," said Castillo, who arrived in Mexico on Wednesday to join the national team training camp.

San Luis midfielder Israel Martinez has received his first international call-up for the game against Ecuador, which takes place in Phoenix in the United States on Wednesday.
