Chievo sack Iachini, appoint Di Carlo
MILAN, Nov 4 (Reuters) - Chievo Verona have sacked coach Giuseppe Iachini and appointed former Parma boss Domenico Di Carlo, the Serie A side said on Tuesday.
The promoted club lost 3-0 at Palermo on Sunday and lie third from bottom on six points from 10 games.
"Chievo Verona announce that Giuseppe Iachini has been relieved of his duties. Coaching the first team will be entrusted to Domenico Di Carlo," said a statement on the club website.
Di Carlo was sacked by Parma in March, two months before the club were relegated from Serie A.
Chievo, who reached the Champions League qualifying round in 2006, spent one season in Serie B after being relegated from the top flight at the end of the 2006/07 season.
Fellow strugglers Bologna dismissed Daniele Arrigoni on Monday and replaced him with former Lazio and Serbia defender Sinisa Mihajlovic, who was assistant manager at champions Inter Milan last season.
