Tottenham to reveal new stadium plans?

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy could reveal his intentions for White Hart Lane when the club's financial figures are announced on Thursday.

Spurs are scheduled to publish their results for the year leading up to June, with a slight improvement anticipated from the previous period, partly due to runs in knockout competitions which include the Carling Cup victory.

Levy and other Spurs board members have been discussing their options to increase their capacity for home games - either by expanding White Hart Lane or relocating.

Last week a report emerged suggesting Spurs were looking at a 60,000-capacity stadium at a site alongside their current home.

The figures will be released four days after a radical change in the club's structure, with Harry Redknapp taking over from Juande Ramos and assuming full control of transfers.

Damien Comolli had been in charge of recruiting players and the Frenchman's dismissal means the scrutiny of fans will be directed to other areas when Levy faces supporters at the club's AGM.

Positive financial results, along with the sale of high-profile players such as Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane, has led to accusations that Levy was more interested in success off the pitch rather than on it, which the chairman addressed in an open letter at the weekend.

''There is an inaccurate perception that our club is run entirely for profit and that football is secondary,'' he wrote.

''Success on the pitch is the sole determinant to the future of the club and its financial stability, so it would be entirely counter-productive to have anything other than football as our first and foremost priority and it is ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

''At a time when football clubs are criticised for losing money and for their debt levels, I am surprised that we should be criticised for running our club on a sound commercial basis and for making a profit.''
