UCLA 2-0 Washington: Perk records shutout

UCLA shut out Pac-10 leader and No. 23 Washington in a 2-0 win to put the Bruins in a tie with the Huskies for first place in the conference. UCLA received a pair of first-half goals by Jason Leopoldo and Prince Lapnet.

The Bruins allowed just six shots, with only three on goal, as goalkeeper Brian Perk recorded his third shutout of the season.

With the win, UCLA improves its record to 4-4-5, 2-1-1 in the Pac-10. Washington, whose six-game unbeaten streak came to an end, falls to 7-4-1, 2-1-1. The Bruins and Huskies are currently tied for first in the Pac-10 standings with seven points.
