Premier Showdown - Oct 4/5

A storming performance from Dale Johnson last weekend saw him record a season's best tally of 14 points, which included a highly impressive four correct scorelines.

There was little hope for Tommy Smyth and the ROTW with prediction form like that - they'll hope to be given a chance this weekend as we move towards the international break.

Joining us this time around is Jarryd Menezes who's down in New Zealand.

He tells Soccernet: 'I live in Auckland. I'm a part time waiter and full time student. I'm 20 years of age and have been playing football ever since I was a kid. I played for a small club in West Auckland but now the season is over and so time to put on the Christmas weight.

'I love the fierceness of the Premier League. Always will be a Manchester United supporter cos they are just brilliant. Although respect does go out to other clubs like Arsenal and Sunderland because they really do play attractive football. United to pull the double again this season.

'Up the reds!'

Soccernet's Premier League Editor, Dale Johnson, and ESPNsoccernet Press Pass pundit Tommy Smyth take up the test.

They, along with the challenger, cast their eyes over weekend's top flight fixtures in England and predict how they think each game will turn out.

Points are then awarded as follows:
• Three points for a correct result and scoreline
• One point for a correct result

After the weekend's scores are in and the result has been worked out, the winning pundit receives three points for their season's total. Should the challenger win, the total is added to the 'Rest of the World's' tally. In the case of a draw, the points are shared between those level on points.
