Romania's Niculae out, Radoi in for France qualifier
BUCHAREST, Oct 4 (Reuters) - Romania striker Marius Niculae will miss next week's 2010 World Cup qualifier against France due to injury.
"Marius has a left leg muscle lesion and he needs three weeks to recover," national team doctor Pompiliu Popescu told Reuters on Saturday.
However, midfielder Mirel Radoi, who had been struggling with a knee injury in Romania's 1-0 win over Faroe Islands last month, had played for Steaua Bucharest in the Champions League in midweek and was likely to be available.
"Radoi can be on the pitch in the match in Constanta," Popescu said.
Romania, who lost 3-0 at home to Lithuania last month, host France in the Black Sea port on Oct. 11.
