NEW YORK -- D.C. United forward Jaime Moreno will be suspended for two games for a blow to an opposing player's head Sunday against FC Dallas.
Moreno struck FC Dallas midfielder Andre Rocha in the face in the 84th minute of D.C. United's 3-0 loss. He was issued a red card, which results in an automatic one-game suspension and $250 fine.
The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee suspended him another game and fined him an additional $250 on Wednesday.
Moreno will miss games against Chivas USA on Saturday and the Houston Dynamo on Oct. 12.
