Myrie and Hernandez get Costa Rica recall

Roy Myrie and Carlos Hernandez have been recalled to the Costa Rica squad for next month's World Cup qualifiers against Suriname and Haiti.

Myrie, who has not played a minute for Belgian side Gent this season, and Hernandez, who plays for Melbourne Victory of Australia, have been given their first call-ups during the tenure of coach Rodrigo Kenton.

The Costa Rican Apertura's leading scorer Victor Nunez, who has scored 10 goals in the nine games for Liberia, is included in the 23-man squad.

Costa Rica lead Group Three of the CONCACAF Qualifying Zone's semi-final round after three wins from three games.

They travel to Suriname on October 11 before playing host to Haiti four days later.
