Ribery return to action from injury delayed

Bayern Munich midfielder Franck Ribery has been forced to delay his return to action, but coach Jurgen Klinsmann has stressed there is no cause for concern.

Ribery was hoping to return in Saturday's Bundesliga fixture with Werder Bremen after recovering from an ankle injury picked up in France's final group game of Euro 2008.

But a thigh strain means he will now have to wait until Wednesday's DFB-Pokal fixture with Nurnberg.

"Franck is not injured, he just has a muscle strain which is normal since he has trained so intensively over the last few days," explained Klinsmann.

"(Club doctor Hans-Wilhelm) Muller-Wohlfahrt said there would actually be no problem if Franck played tomorrow (Saturday), but the risk is always there.

"In a few days, there will be nothing."
