Anelka has no interest in another PSG return

Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka has dismissed reports of a third spell at Paris St Germain, the club where he began his career. Anelka's last spell at the club ended in acrimonious circumstances in 2002 after he fell out with then coach Luis Fernandez but PSG president Charles Villeneuve revealed in the summer he would love to bring the 29-year-old back to the Parc des Princes once again. Anelka insists that will never happen as, even if he should leave Chelsea, he has no inclination to return to his alma mater.

"There are some rumours circulating about a possible return to PSG," Anelka wrote in his weekly column for "They're all nonsense.

"It's true that I know a lot of people at the club. I'm friends with Papus Camara, with Claude Makelele.

"I know well the new leadership team: Charles Villeneuve and Bruno Skropeta, but from there to a will never happen.

"I've signed for three years at Chelsea, and then even if I had to leave London, I would go to the States or a country in the Gulf but not to Paris."

The France striker stated his happiness with his side's start to the new season, and hailed the Premier League as the best in the world.

"Chelsea have started well, we have two victories and a draw on the counter," he continued. "The coaches change but not the football, we still have a strong team, a big team.

"And the Premier League is the best championship in the world. It never stops confirming that and it's been a long time I've been saying that.

"In France some people could find it annoying that the best players in the world are all in England, but when you play in that league, it's a delight."
