Stuttgart lose Pardo to injury for three weeks

Stuttgart are likely to be without the services of Pavel Pardo for up to three weeks after the Mexico midfielder returned to Germany early with a knee injury.

The 32-year-old picked up a knock in Saturday's 3-0 win over Jamaica and an examination on Wednesday revealed he had torn ligaments.

Also back at the club prematurely is Romania striker Ciprian Marica, who sustained a thigh injury in his side's shock 3-0 defeat by Lithuania on Saturday.

The player initially remained in Bucharest with his international team-mates, but is now back in Germany and may also miss the weekend meeting with Hoffenheim.
