Italy defender Legrottaglie out of Georgia game
Italy defender Nicola Legrottaglie limped out of training on Wednesday morning ahead of the World Cup qualifier against Georgia.
The Juventus defender suffered a muscle injury in his left leg and will have to undergo a late fitness test to confirm if he will play in Udine.
Legrottaglie was set to partner captain Fabio Cannavaro at the heart of the world champions' defence against Georgia.
Italy are already without goalkeeper Marco Amelia, defender Alessandro Gamberini, left-back Fabio Grosso, midfielder Gennaro Gattuso and striker Alessandro Del Piero, who have all sustained injuries in recent days while on international duty.
